Camperships

Summer is always a time of new experiences and adventure for the children and youth who attend the Portland Promise Center.  This summer is no exception.  We kicked off our summer program this year by taking twenty teenagers and eighteen elementary age children to summer camp.  The teenagers went to a camp at Johnson Creek and the Children went to Camp Loucon.  All of them came home with memories that will last a lifetime. 

On behalf of these children we want to thank our donors who contributed to the 2009 Campership program.  Your financial support helps the Portland Promise Center provide formative experiences for the children and youth who live in our neighborhood.  We believe that investing in the lives of our children is the best way to address the issues that face our neighborhood.  Our children will make a positive difference in our neighborhood as they grow into godly leaders.
